As a former member of the itty bitty titty committee—who came into some, ahem, enhancements (hallelujah, healthy weight gain!) at 28—I had to completely overhaul my swimwear collection to find styles that actually work for my big busts. I simply couldn’t get by with two tiny scraps of fabric and a prayer. I needed actual support and coverage to avoid a nip slip.

Consider my years of trial and error (and a fair share of self-loathing try-on sessions) an act of service! I’ve personally tested dozens of styles and found the best swimsuits for full busts—including D-cup and up—that strike the right balance between supportive and sexy.

Just like when shopping for bras, the trick is to find swimwear that provides the lift and shape your boobs deserve, all while keeping the girls under control. What's worse than a super stretchy swimsuit that provides z-e-r-o support? Nothing, especially when you’re trying to Baywatch jog out of the ocean.

Our top picks:

From sleek one-pieces to barely-there bikinis, we found cute, comfortable, and well-reviewed styles that'll actually provide support and hold your boobs in place. The best swimsuits for fuller busts were chosen based on style, support, comfort, popularity, personal recommendations, and so many reviews to put together this shoppable list of the very best for you.

I can't get over how freaking great this swimsuit looks and feels on my body, which is something I never thought I'd say considering how hard it is to find a swimsuit with big boobs. It's also quite *literally* one of the most size-inclusive suits I've come across, as it offers a million different lengths, size, and bust options. But the real secret behind this reviewer-loved one-piece? Land's End's signature Slendertex® fabric that compresses your body so you feel secure and smooth, yet it doesn't affect your comfort level. It's a type of magic I can't put into words, so you're just going to have to trust me and try it for yourself.

My boobs have never stayed in place like they did in this suit—I didn't even have to readjust once!

How to choose the best swimsuits for large busts

linebreak

Just like when you're shopping for any type of bra, you want to think about how much support you'll need and what kind of activities you'll be doing while frolicking on the beach or at the pool. A few things to keep in mind as you shop:

Consider the style

While compressive swim tops (which work by pressing your breasts firmly to your chest to restrict movement) may work well for smaller chests, those with a larger bust should ideally look for swimsuits with built-in cups that separate and hold your boobs in place. Oh, and if you want to support and lift, then it's best to find a style with an underwire, which helps to create a perkier silhouette.

Check out the straps

Straps are key when it comes to support, and typically, a thicker strap means more stability and less movement (not to mention that thinner straps are far more likely to dig into your shoulders or neck). If you have a bigger bust, then you probably also want to look for straps that are wide, adjustable, and—ideally—convertible, so you can customize your fit and make sure they stay firmly in place.

Find the right fit

Shopping for swimwear online can be tricky, especially if you're someone with big boobs. While browsing, consider whether you'd like a compressive or more relaxed fit, then read reviews to see if you should size up, down, or go with your regular bra size. The best swim tops and one-pieces tend to be those that are fully adjustable so you can customize your fit as needed (which is especially important if you're someone with a larger bust and smaller ribcage).
